After a good 7 days of snowboarding in a row, I am pumped. It has been so much fun.
The 4 days of School that followed were definitely a mood killer though.
But Tuesday and Wednesday nights made up for all the boredom of school.
Tuesday night, at The small group i go to we were planning on starting the book of Acts for the new year. After Worship we started to pray, and we didn't stop for a little over an hour later. It was amazing to see the way the spirit of God moved. We prayed for a revival like no one has ever seen before would take place in Camarillo. That people would turn to Jesus and just fall in Love with Him like the guys in that room had. We also prayed for the boldness, strength and courage that it will take for the Christians here to have to do this. Its going to be insane, but God ordained, so i am stoked. Please keep that in your prayers, that Revival would be known here, and that God would work mighty miracles.
Now for Wednesday. At Switch on Wednesday, our youth pastor, Seth, wanted to start off the year differently, setting a pace for the year to come... A night of worship.
We opened with three songs which i kind of just sat through, off in my ow world. But then Seth came up and started to tell us of the tradition that they have at his old church. At the beginning of the year each person would get a card with a bible verse or passage on it. This verse would be just another testimony on what God has or will do in our own lives. Seth encouraged us to read it monthly or weekly or even daily, and just meditate on it. Basically just watch and see how God is going to work in our lives through that verse, something totally prophetic. The verse i pulled was Psalm 1:1-3. Oh man how it spoke to me from the get go.
1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
This passage in every way had meaning in my life, something i'll save for another time. But for now i encourage you to read it, meditate on it, then pray. Pray to a God that is Always Listening.
God Bless,
Zach

It gets me fired up to hear that God spoke so intensely to you through the verse you got. I am amazed every time I do this how God absolutely nails me throughout the year with that simple little promise card. Anyway, I'm encouraged to hear from you and some others that God was moving on Wednesday night.
I laughed too when I read the verse you got because it definitely seems to fit what I know of your life and how you set an example of being a solid man of God planted right in the life giving stream of His presence. It's going to be a good year man. Praying for ya!
